Friends, Chaplains, Supporters
To make an even greater impact on the world of work in Birmingham and Solihull, we need friends, chaplains and financial supporters.
The work of active faith engagement in the economy has a long history, and CIGB has been doing this work in Birmingham and Solihull for 40 years. We now have one of the largest workplace chaplaincy teams in the country. In recent years we have also worked with campaigns to reform the Banks, for Tax Justice and the Living Wage. We have helped to support people who have become unemployed, migrant workers and victims of modern slavery.
But our national and local economy still needs faithful friends, to help celebrate the good news and to challenge injustice.
Can you join us?
- Friends: For a small annual donation, Friends receive detailed information about what we are doing, topical issues for Birmingham and Solihull, and come together once a year to meet each other and our chaplains and discuss the issues that matter. Visit our Friends page.
- Chaplains: Chaplains go into local workplaces on a part-time basis to befriend, listen and help release people into fullness of life. CIGB Chaplains are volunteers, initially trained in one of our regular courses, then join the team (to whom they are accountable) and receive regular support. Visit our Chaplaincies page.
- Supporters: We are very happy to receive financial donations to help sustain our Chaplains and wider work. Visit our Donations page with CAF here.
